The UCLA Department of Radiation
Oncology has installed the world's first clinical ONCOR™ Avant-Garde
Linear Accelerator and is in the process of additional two
installations.
The ONCOR™ Avant-Garde linear
accelerator is equipped with Optifocus MLC consisting of forty-one 1.0
cm wide leaf pairs that can shape fields of up to 40x40 cm2.
Maximum distance over centerline for this MLC is 10.0 cm and the
specification for the leaf positioning accuracy is better than 1.0 mm. |
